SPIRITUAL GIFTS ASSESSMENT
The gifts of the Holy Spirit are listed in a number of New Testament passages: Romans 12:3-8, 1 Corinthians 12, Ephesians 4:7-13, 1 Peter 4:10,11. Below is a list of some of them, clustered into related themes. Which gifts are you attracted to?
PRAYER GIFTS
Faith: You believe God will do it before anyone does and long after others have given up, you believe until it happens!
Mercy: You feel the needs of others and you do what you can to help them.
Healing: You listen to people who are ill, you pray for them and you see God bring health to them.
Gift of Tongues: You are able to pray in another language you never were taught and afterward your love for God grows and surprising doors open.
Interpretation of Tongues: When someone shares a message in tongues publicly you have a sense of the message God is speaking.
LEADING GIFTS
Leadership: You can see where God is going, cast the vision, gather followers and mobilize them to accomplish the goal.
Pastor: You nurture, guide and care for people and as a result they follow you and become more like Christ.
INSIGHT GIFTS
Discernment: You have a sense of what is motivating a person, and can discern whether that is from God or not.
Knowledge: You inexplicably know inside information about others that proves pivotal in seeing their lives change for the better.
Wisdom: You know just the right thing to say at just the right time that helps others hear God.
Encouragement: The words you speak comfort, encourage and urge to action those who listen.
HELPER GIFTS
Helps: You love to help others, nothing is too much to ask, and others seek you out when they face a practical need.
Hospitality: You show your love for people by making them feel welcome in your home or anywhere.
Giving: You love to give, God guides you to give, and you have the ability to know just what others need.
Administration: Like the pilot of a ship, you can focus people and resources in such a way that the work is done and done well.
COMMUNICATOR GIFTS
Teaching: You love to learn and help others to understand what you have been taught from God’s word. You are easy to listen to and your instructions are simple to follow.
Evangelism: You love people, you love the good news and there is never a time you feel uncomfortable to tell others about Jesus.
Prophecy: You have a sense of what God is saying to others and those who listen to you feel comforted, encouraged and directed by your words.
